attr var

i need to create attr type variabel and have it in WIB for selection....say A is the basic char for this attt...i also want A aas a part of slection on the screen...with inoput help..i am not able to do this...any reason..please guide it is urgent

hi All,

i have a user exit var defined for B and C...and also one for A rderived from values in B and C......but the thing is var on A doesnt lock that value only it locks all the set...please let me know y......it is urgent

1) From Planning Area go to Variables tab.

2) Press the Create Variable button

3) Variable Type: Attributes

4)OK button

5) Choose Basic Variable: WIB

6) Under Attributes .. Press insert and choose A

7) Replacement Type = User-defined values

inorder to able to create a variable on A and use it .... A should be a navigational attribute to the IO and should have been marked as navigational in the dataprovider (cube/ODS) too.

sorry for not being descriptive in sub..but A is itself the io..i.e it is the basic char which has various attributes..hope i am clear now

If its A is a basic char by itself - you will find this available in the report to create a variable on it ... I'm sure i'm not getting the question right, if yes, can you elaborate with a example.

ok ..i would put down req again...

A is an ibject...B and C are its attributes,,,,in BPS i have A,B , C in slection screen...I can make slection on B and C .and in layout i use A and have a var on it which is derived from B and C...now i am not able to also habve A in slec screen...m i doign wron or is there any easy way out....

req is i want A, B and c all in sel screen...and B and C are attributes.....of A
