Hi
I created a query in Bex-3.5 and then I publish that report into the portals by going Business Explorer -> Tools -> Launch In Web Browser -> Query(default view) in the Bex-Report.
I need to save different views of report and then access those views one-by-one. When I save three or fours views then I cant access those views. So how can I save different views and then access those views.
Please let me know the solution .
Thanks
Mohammed
The best way I have found to create query views is to change the report in the BEx Analyzer, then click on the 'Save' button on the BW toolbar and choose "Save View Global".
To see the views that have been previously saved, in BEx Analyzer you can use the Open -> Saved Views function. Or on the Web, you can open the 0ANALYZER template and choose the "Open View" function. (BTW, we tried to use the "Save View" function on this template some time ago, but without success.) You can also get a list of current query views by going into Admin Workbench (RSA1) -> Metadata Repository -> Query View.
It is also important when working with query views to know that you can modify an existing query view and resave it. After making the desired changes, when you do the "Save View Global" you have to enter the exact technical name and description used the first time it was saved (which unfortunately are NOT shown as defaults!). You will then see a prompt that asks if you want to overstore the previous query view.
Hope this helps...

One other way besides the two mentioned is to create a Web template with Web application designer and choose the Query view selection web item and set the properties to all views. This will provide a dropdown of all views associated with the query and when you select a view the query will refresh.
Hope it helps.

Hi,
we have created a BSP listing all views in the system.
Users can execute them by clicking the link
In the BSP hereunder the link on how to call a view: replace <text> by your objects value:
We are on 3.0B and we have also implemented a save/overwrite/delete views by calling standard function modules....
We saw the 3.5 abilities but we are actually working with views since 2002 and our bsp is more flexible....
hope that helps...
Olivier.
