Dear Sir;

i upgraded SBO server from 2004 version to 2005 SP1.

when i try to install fixed assets add on i receive the following error:

do you want to restart the upgrade process?

if i click restart, the upgrade process restart but an error message appears at the end: set-up function of add-on failed (C:\program files\sap manage\sap business one\addons\sap\fixedassets\ba_fixedassets.exe).

could you help me to resolve this problem please?

thank you Dear.

What version of fixed assets di you use to install ? you must use version 55 if your SBO version is 2005A sp 01 pl 23.

Hi Dany,

I have successfully installed and initialisation of fixed assets version 6.80.01.50 in SBO 2005A SP. 01 PL 27.

You should use the version instead of currently you are using.

Additional info, I also have just successfully installed the FA 6.80.01.50 and 6.80.01.55 in SBO 2005A SP 01 PL 23. I have run it and it is okay. So, my suggestion is trying to install 6.80.01.50 version of FA if available. I concluded that 6.80.01.55 is okay to SBO 2005A SP 01 PL 23 and I suggest you uninstall the current SBO and reinstall it. Then re registering the add-on.

Hi Dany,

Seems that possibly the download of FA patch level 55 or 60 was not perfect. Another possibility, you have uninstalled the SAP B1 2005A SP 01 PL 23 installation but after installed, still can't run fixed asset. have you did that ? Anyway, what localization did you use ? I use ANZ localization and denmark, it was success. I am also afraid there is possibility an influence of localisation.

In service.sap.com/smb --> installations and updates, it is only available PL 60. If you have did uninstalling and reinstalling SAP B1, but still can't install and initialize the FA PL 45, PL 55 or 60, it seems you must redownload SAP B1 2005A SP 01 PL 23.

I have installed and initialized successfully PL 50 and PL 55 in SAP B1 2005A SP 01 PL 23. Send me your address, I copied the PL 50 to CD and send it to you. I will give the delivery cost after knowing your address.

Hi Dany,

Do you have another e-mail address ? the file size is above 10 MB after compressed. In yahoo, it is not capable to import that.

Hello Dan,

I am afraid and not sure if It could be the france localization is the cause of the fail.

There is two options :

1. Escalate to SAP support

2. Upgrade SBO 2005A SP 01 PL 23 to PL 29.

Set company local settings France. Then install the FA using PL 55 or 60. I am still trying to test it here, I have set the local setting to be france

Let's see what will be happened. If it can't run, go to first option.

Good luck..

You should upgrade to 2007 since is already in ramp-up.

Have you try to completly uninstall the addon and reinstall it again?

Have you verify that the DI API have been upgrade for version 2005 and the Patch Level that you are currently in?
