In ST06 CPU utilization is 100 % by root user

Hi all

In my SAP system I am getting below information from ST06.

Utilization user 35 %

system 65 %

When I click on "Detail list" and then click on "Top CPU"

it is showing " root rlpdaemon -i " .

1.Why it is taking all CPU resources?

2.How can I solve this?

Please kindly give help on this regard.

A high system usage is caused by a syscall, that calls a kernel function. Check if you´re running out of file descriptors (too many files open, too many pending print jobs etc.).

Hi,

A quick Google search suggests that "rlpdaemon" is the line printer daemon on HP/UX, so this is probably not an SAP-related problem.

It is possible that the process is looping for a temp file system full, you can try to check if there is any some tmp file system full.
