MSDS requirment check in Product safety

Hi,

I have a doubt regarding the implication of the MSDS requirement check in SAP EHS Product safety component.

In the 'Standard' property tree for the specification category 'SUBSTANCE', there is a value assignement type 'SAP_EHS_0101_001' under the node 'Administration'. The allowed values for this value assignment type are 0 and 1(0 for required and 1 for not required).

1. Is it mandatory to maintain this value assignment type in order to enable the automatic report shipping for this specification related materials ?

2. In which EHS check function / routine this flag would be checked ?

Any suggestions on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Hitanshu

    Hi Hitanshu,

As far as I know the relevancy for MSDS generation is triggered by a setting in the material master.

      Thanks Paul.

The flag 'Env Relevant' in the basic data 2 view in the material master controls the SDB output type for the material in automatic report shipping.
