Hi,
I have a doubt regarding the implication of the MSDS requirement check in SAP EHS Product safety component.
In the 'Standard' property tree for the specification category 'SUBSTANCE', there is a value assignement type 'SAP_EHS_0101_001' under the node 'Administration'. The allowed values for this value assignment type are 0 and 1(0 for required and 1 for not required).
1. Is it mandatory to maintain this value assignment type in order to enable the automatic report shipping for this specification related materials ?
2. In which EHS check function / routine this flag would be checked ?
Any suggestions on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Hitanshu
Hi Hitanshu,
As far as I know the relevancy for MSDS generation is triggered by a setting in the material master.

Hi Paul,
The product safety related settings in the material master that I know of are -
1. The assignment of the DG profile ( which is more of DG relevant though)
2. The assignment of the material to the EHS specfication
But there still has to be one more flag which would control the automatic MSDS report shipping through a SD delivery.
Please correct me if I am missing someting here.
Thanks,
Hitanshu
