Hi Niraj,
Basic difference is as follows,
Repetative-
1: Only one type of production is set. Only one type of production is produced at all the time.Specific work centers i.e. production line is used.
e.g. Manufacturing of say Maruti 800.Where no change over is carried out.
2: Production line is workcenter considered as a busy while production.
Descrete-
1: Finished product is changing, change over takes place, Work center sequence is randomly selected as per operation.
2: Check the load as per the product any work center will busy, others may be idle.
Check load conditions.
e.g. In work shop, workcenter are required as per operations required for finish product.

Hi,
Discrete Manufacturing:
1.Oredr related production
2.Steadily changing product
3.differing sequence of different work centers
4.complex routing
5.Interim storage for semi finished products
6.Material staging order based ( reservation, picking)
7.Back flushing per order
8.cost monitoring order based
Production order
Repetitive Manufacturing:
1.Quantity and period based Production
2. same/ similar products are produced over a long period of time
3.line based continuous flow
4.simple routing
5. No interim storage for semi finished products
6. material staging period based
7. back flushing period and qty based
8.cost monitoring period based Product cost collector
9. Planned order ( run schedule qty)

Hi Niraj,
Discreate manufacturing based on the producton orders and products change frequently from order to order. Orders manufacturing will be carried out on the different work centers (discreate). Confirmation abd Costs will be settled to order wise. Confirmation with order numbers.
Repetative manufacturing is period based planning and not based on orders. Normally same products will be manufactured over longer period of time..products will not change frequently. Confirmation is from backflushing and settlement is through from product cost collector for the period. Confirmaton will be without ref to planned orders. Planned orders are sufficient to carry out shop floor activity. In master data production versions and cost collector is must where this is not mandatory in discreate.

repetative mfgs
means the manufacturing process/operation is constant for some period
the product of the manufaturing is same as it repetatively
ex : automobile inds
descrete mfgs
means it the manufacturing of the the product are variable
after for some period the product of the comany will be change
