Dear All,
I need to know how are the latest currency Exchnage rates maintained in SAP.
Where is this information coming from?
I know the following
a. table TCURR stores the Exchange Rates.
b. Transaction OB08 - Maintain Exchange rates
c. TBDM - Upload Market Data
But what is the usual procedure for a company to maintain Currency tables.
Where is the global market data obtained from?
Thanks and Regards,
Ashwin
Hi,
The exchange rates are either taken from the bank which company interacts for foreign payment or from RBI sites. Preferrable the rates are updated daily, but it also depends upon the company's requirement. Normally T.Code: OB08 is used and authorisation is given to one user in Finance Department.
Hope the above helps, if yes, please assign points accordingly.
Regards,
Harish

Exchange rate generally vary from day to day depending upon market condition. Therefore you have to maintain different Exchange rate under same ERT for different dates
The system picks up relevant exchange rate depending upon the posting date of transaction and business puupose .
