Hi Guru,

There are two main strategies involved for production.

Make to stock & make to order.

<b>Make to stock:</b>

1. 10,11,40 are all make to stock strategise & are maintained in the mrp 3 view of the material master.

2. Here requirements are given as planned independent requirement (T.code md61).

3.During MRP run planned order/purchase requisition will be created.

4.Once production process is completed, GR will be done against the production order & this will show in the stock/requirement list (T.code md04).

5.When a sale order is raised, this stock can be delivered against the sale order qty.

6. The settings are given in the requirements type/requirements class in the img (spro), as whether to consider planned independent requirement or sale order.

<b>Make to order:</b>

1. 20 is a make to order strategy. This is assigned in the mrp 3 view of the material master.

2.Only when a sale order is raised planned order will be created during mrp run.

3.No planned independent requirement(md61) is given for make to order (20) strategy.

The settings are given in the requirements class in the img (spro).

Hope this help,pl. reward suitably.

Regards,

SDS
