Regarding Network Creation

Dear All

In My Project i am having five levels of WBS for all WBS i am having activity.So here my question is for all activity i want to assign one standard network is it possible

Hi,

Initially create a network for top level wbs element. (Select the top level wbs and double click network in templates. TC:CJ20n)

Then create required activities for that network. (Select the created network and double click activity in templates. TC:CJ20n)

Attach the created activities as per your requirement by dragging them from network to required wbs.

As per your instruction i created the one standard network.I assigned a standard network in top level WBS,but i am having 3 levels of WBS.i assigned actvities to each WBS.So in Cj30 i am getting the planned cost totally for top level WBS.Here i am not getting the planned cost for each WBS level.Kindly reply me

Pl.check - Cj30 is the Transaction for change in Budget .

Cj40 is the transaction where u can change the plan cost for the Project -overall period / annual period.

Hi,

Please check in assignment tab of activity whether required wbs element is displayed. I hope it is displaying the correct wbs. In that case you are using header assigned network. Check in network profile what is network type? It should be activity assigned, I guess it is header assigned.Changing this should solve your problem.

Hi,

Please ensure that network is WBSE assigned, then only network will come for each WBSE. Create standard network & while making projects, assigned standard network as per your requirements.

Yes u can assign the standard network to any of ur project.

For this u should have the network created using CN01. (or)

the network which already exists in another project -u can save as worklist or template - the same can be used in different project.
