can we maintain role specific number ranges?

Can we maintain role specific number ranges in sapcrm..ex i want to give number range between 0-100 to role sold-to-party. is this possible ?

Hi Ravi,

Using the standard functionality no, you can only assign the same Using Account Group.

Hi Ravi,

You cannot maintain an explicit relationship between the number ranges in CRM and roles.

To configure number ranges you have to define groupings in CRM.

While you create your BP, it is this point of time when you have to specified the grouping you want to use (indirectly the number range assigned to it). This will decide the number for the BP.

Account group is an attribute used for financial handling of all customers within SD system. You can map number ranges to Account groups in SPRO (financial accounting sections or logistics general) on R/3. You have to map account grps to classifications and the groupings in CRM using transaction PIDE on R/3 system. Please refer to the best practice guide on help.sap.com for more info.
