License Renewal

Hello Experts

We did a homogenours system copy last February 2017 after virus attack in the SAP server . Post system copy ,i installed license for SAP system(Slicense) with new hardware key since old hardware key will not be valid . SAP portal renews/generate license only for 15 days , which should be life time license or till date 31-12-9999 .Every 15 daysI am renewing license in the portal and installing since the date wont be more than 15 day time period ..I select 31-12-9999 when generating license..tried with ither date nothing worked

.Importance:If I tried to renew license for other SAP systems in the SAP portal I am getting license renewed till 31-12-9999. I contacted SAP and they said it may be a contract issue..if thats the case license renewal issue should be for all new systems(which was tested)....Please advice ..

Hi Karthik,

I'm guessing you mean you made a copy of your production system (post virus attack), and now the copy is your new production system? If so, the problem might be that you are showing as having more than one production system of the same type in the same installation number. Usually, you can't (or shouldn't) do that. So, if what you are doing is moving your production system to new hardware, you may have to delete the record in the Support Portal for the old system first, then apply for the license for the new productive system.
