Dear friend,
Pl explain in short , What is assembly processing?
I am particularly intrested in Ass. processing with Prod. order.
Whether system creates prod. order directly from sales order without MRP?

Hi,
For Production Orders:
Maintain Strategy group as 82 for creating Production Order in Mrp 3 view.
With this 1:1 Relation is maintained between Production Orders and Sales
Orders.( static Procedure)
Reqmts Type KMFA
Reqmts Class 201
Order Type PP04 Production Orders with Assembly Processing.
For Planned Orders:
Maintain Strategy group as 81
Here dynamic Procedure is preset as assembly type.
Reqmts Type KMSE
Reqmts Class 200

Sandeep,
The big advantage is that there is a one to one link between prod order and the sales order. Any change in any one will be reflected in the other.

Sandeep,
You are right in assembly processing when the sale order is created automatically a planned order or a production would get generated based on the planning strategy used. No MRP is required.
For production order creation planning strategy is "82" and for getting planned order the planning strategy should be "81".
Hope this helps....
