VDKON implementation - any special precaution/dependency?

Hi Experts,

I need to implement VDKON ( 2lis_13_VDKON).. there would be approx 135 milion records...

I need to know best way to go for that..

I know basic general steps for Lo extraction but I need to know are there any pre-requiste for VDKON..( do we need to install Billing item and header also?)

I am alooking for Billing Conditions data at item level.

Also are there any special fields which have to be included to get data right?

Any other pre-cautions or best practice..

Plz give me your experience with VDKON....

Hi,

When staging VDKON please make suer that you stage it to the ODS....onelayer below the cube...since the amount of data is huge and it cannot be setup again and again....also I wopuld suggest you to pick at least all the fileds which you think can be useful in the future design especially indicators, documnet types etc. which comes handy when designing reports.There are many fieds with name conditions pull all that,key figures as exchange rate type,condition value....all the date like last changed on,creation dateetc.

You do not need install header or anything before that.

Nothing much like that but the only thing which needs to be taken care is to identify whant your requirement could be from the VDKON and to pull everyhting in BW ODS once so that you need not do cutover again and again.

Depending upon the scenarion VDKON can bring more than 1 million delta in one day so it would require good delta management.

LO extrcotrs are not affected by the fields which you chose to extract.

It is like every other LO extractor but with huge amount of delat that's all.
