Hi,
this is normally used when you are using Reorder Point Planning in MRP.
You set the minimum stock level that you want and when it drops below this the system will generate a Purchase req to bring the stock back up to the desired level. The purchase requisition is then converted into a PO (also known as a replenishment order, in this case).
