Hi XI Guru's ,
Recently i installed PI 7.0 successfully .
At the time of configuring a scenario in Integration Directory my developer is not getting the Adapter metadata information via the drop down tool (i.e. the tool by which we choose the adapter ).
Did i missed something at the time of configuring the PI server ?
Thanks in advance...
Hi Michal/Krishna ,
Thanks for the very useful prompt response . So far I got the idea that something i missed at the time of configuring ( post installation step ) the PI.
Since i am a novice , It would be better for me if you will be more precise.
(i.e Did i missed something in "Configuration of Usage Type Process Integration (PI) " or in "Optional Additional Configuration Steps"..)
It would be better if you can send me a link....
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
question:
3. I can't see my adapters in the adater monitoring after the import of a new SP
from XI FAQ
but you need to use 7.0 and not 6.40
if you do this you will see all adapters - it's that simple

michal

Hi Ramesh,
Thanks for the valuable inputs ....
BTW Is it possible that this issue came up because of wrong Tech/Business sytems made, which are going to be used in the scenario by developer ?

Hi,
>>BTW Is it possible that this issue came up because of wrong Tech/Business sytems made, which are going to be used in the scenario by developer ?
No, it is not because what you have stated above.
The reason behind is simple, the templates for XI post configuration that you execute after installation does not do the importing of BASIS component. Hence it has to be done manually as i given in steps in my first reply(prescribed in XI Installation Guide)

Hi Michal/Krishna,
Is it possible that this issue came up because of wrong Tech/Business sytems made, which are going to be used in the scenario by developer .
I feel that we ran the post installation steps sucessfully using template infact we got success message also.
Do we need to import Basis 7.0 explicitly even if we have followed the templates and i feel that we have imported Basis 7.0 only not 6.40 via templates?
Thanks in advance,

Hello Santosh,
>> Do we need to import Basis 7.0 explicitly even if we have followed the templates and i feel that we have imported Basis 7.0 only not 6.40 via templates?
Yes, You have to explicitly import the basis Component. Other wise when you start creating Configuration Scenario you might get error like javaNullPointerException.

Hi,
This might help you more,
Importing the XI Content for Software Component Version SAP Basis

directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/
2. On your SAP XI host, call transaction SXMB_IFR.
3. Choose Repository (Design).
4. Choose ? Tools ? Import Development Objects
2. Choose the file /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import
XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_7.00_00_00.tpz (latest file ask your BASIS Consultant)
5. Import the file.
