Is Single Sign On must for implementing Solamn diagnostics in SM 4.0

Hello Experts,

I hv one query,is Single Sign on configuration must for implementing Solman diagnostics in SM 4.0 . i want to implement daignostics in solman 4.0 but we do not want to go for SSO. Plz revert if it a prerequisite / Solman diagnostics can be done without SSO also.

Regards,

Yes - you can go without SSO but that implies, that everyone accessing SMD will need to have an user in the J2EE engines with appropriate permission for everything that can be done using SMD.

If this is what you want, then you don't need SMD because then everyone can log on to the target system directly.
