Hi Gurus...Urgent !!!

As a new comer I would like to ask if it is possible to have a hirarchy

One CoC

Three BA's under CoC

15, 73 & 22 Profit Centers under each BA's resp...

Now how to configure in such a way that

1) Each Profit Centers can be assigined respective GL's to generate individual TB, Income Expenditure, B/S

2) Budget can be allocated to each of these G/L's and can be revised and compared with Actuals on a monthly basis.

One cost center can be assigned to one Business Area only, it is not possible to be assigned to 3 BA's.

Generally there is no assignment of One GL to One profit center. Profit center derivation used many other parameters. Please clarify clearly on the requirement.

As for Budget allocation , it can be done if you use commitment management through which you can control budget for a GL account.

Correct me if I am wrong -

Under 3 BA ( Defined at the CoC level )

there are 15, 73, 22 Profit Centers and Cost Centers

Q1) Is it possible to link any 1 BA while defining the Profit Centers and Cost Centers ?

Q2) Can the same departments be defined as Profit Centers and Cost Centers ? Q3) And give specific user authorization for each Profit Centers under each BA ?

there are multiple G/L linked to each Cost Centers ( Primary Cost Element )

Q4) Is it possible to bring TB, Income Exp ( Non profitable Org ), B/S monthwise out of these Profit Centers ?

Q5) Pls explain how to configure budget by using commitment management ? Any Doc to my id will be help

Hi,

If you are using mySAP ERP 2004 or later version, you can generate TB, P&L and B/S profit center wise. If you are using earlier versions you can assign default profit center for GL accounts in 3KEH T code.
