If I run a query off a cube or a multicube which just includes the cube (same query) will the cube perform quicker - if large set of data if so why if not why not? Thanks

Solution
You can specify a restriction on LP as a redundant restriction on the 0INFOPROV characteristic. However, this is often very complicated, prone to error and demanding on the end users.
With the "correction" provided in this note, you can now provide the system with information on the logical partitioning of a MultiProvider.
