Integrating Web application with SAP ECC 6.00

Hi Guru's,

We have a requirment as given below,

Our Company have 25000 Employees. Currently Company run their HR Process in a Web application. We would like to use the web application for updating the data to SAP.

Is MDM is suggested in this regard? Do we need to Have XI in between to communicate to MDM?

If you are using web based application, then I think you can develop a webservice for say displaying of records of all employees .. you can publish this web service (to access records from MDM repository) and hence can be accessed over a browser...

another approach would be portal integration etc.

It is not all the time necessary to use XI in between. But in your case you want to send this data to SAP .. in this case you can use XI in between MDM and SAP R/3

If you have generated file(say flat or XML), then you want to send this file to R/3 as IDOC , then for this scenario you can use XI to do corresponding mapping.
