Reporting Agent Settings - BW 2004s

Dear All,

I have another question regarding "Exception Reporting" in BW7.0.

Does BW7.0 support reporting agent settings from BW3.5, meaning the exception reporting which was setup using old reporting agent settings(BW3.5) will work on BW7.0?? or do we have to re-build exception reporting using BROADCASTING?

hi Rao,

reporting agent will still work in bi 7.0, but not developed anymore, and recommended to use Information Broadcasting

Hi.

Thanks for your reply.

I just tested my bw3.x exception-reporting agent process chains on 2004s client..and it has successfully worked as it was on 3.5.

Meaning that I can still continue using the same old reporting aagent settings without re-writing with Broadcasting tool in 2004s??

hi Rao,

yes, all the 3.x bex functionality still can be used in nw2004s,

but it's not developed anymore.

so for your new requirement, it's suggested develop with new 2004s functionality.

Reporting agent is obselete in 2004S.
