Hi friends, I have some issues please help me, points will be awarded. I am attending an interview.

1>what is the role of a BW CONSULTANT (2 1/2 years experienced) in all phases of full life cycle (if applicable) please tell me with some examples.

Project Preparation

 Business Blueprint

 Realization

 Final Preparation

 Go Live & Support

2>Give some DATA SOURCES, ODS, CUBES, MULTIPROVIDERS, INFO OBJECTS in the PLANT MAINTENANCE business area.

3>Give some examples for production support (procedure for handling the tickets and some examples in the mentioned area) for an implementation in the PLANT MAINTENANCE business area (client was SHELL).

If possible give me some behavioral questions with answers (situations in team environment which is linked with a technical issue), because i am attending the interview in Australia, here they are asking behavioral questions.

Hi Neelima

Here is some production support issues find it:

In support projects mainly it includes.....

1-Reconcellations : i.e checking of data for both sides i.e r/3 and bw side once the data has been loaded. for this checking, different types of tools will be used.

ex:control M tool.

2-Data loading and monitoring.

3-Managing the Tickets : These r nothing but the issues or the errors raised by the customers as well as systems.once the issue has been raised....it will entered in to the general queue, which is managed by the TL and he will distribute them to the team members. and it depends

4-PSA deletions : for every frequent intervals....the data in the PSA wil be deleted.

Some tickets or issues:

1. Time stamp error : this kind of error can be raised, whenever there is modification in the data source and it is not replicated properly.

solution:goto rsa1 AWB, goto the source system tab and find the perticular source system and replicate it properly. and at the same time u need to execute a function module in se 38 i.e RS_TRANSSTRUCTURE_ACTIVATE. to reflect the changes in p-system. then we can reload the data by executing IP.

2. Failure occured when delta update is going on from one data target to another data target. (Reason : TRFC error or data is incorrect)

solution : go to the monitor screen(rsmon) check the tech. status of the req. for red and then delete the req. from the data target.

--->If it is delta update : in the source data target reset the delta and re trigger the IP to load data again.

--->If it is full update, restart the job again after deleting error request from data target.

3.Error occured due to transfer rules i.e 0records

These errors happen when TR are not active and mapping in the data fileds is not correct.

4.Caller 70 missing : htis type of errors can be raised whenever Idoc's not processed completely.

Solution : go to bd87 and sole.

All these r few issues in the support project.
