SOAP Integration with External System - port number and firewall question

Hello Community,

I am trying to integrate our ByDesign tenant with an external system. The external system provided us with a WSDL file, so creating a Web Service Integration and Scenario was easy (the scenario is A2A and has non-secure URLs enabled).

However, actual communication via the web service is unsuccessful. The communication must be transferred to port 8182 of the external system and the external system is protected by a firewall, however the web administrator has enabled our tenant (https://myTENANTNUMBER.sapbydesign.com) to the exception list. There is no authentication on the system itself.

I have read that SAP ByDesign only accepts ports 80 for http communication and 443 for https communication. Is this true? If this is the case, then the port number 8182 could be causing the communication issues.

Also, could the firewall settings be an issue as well? Is it sufficient if it is given the tenant address (https://myTENANTNUMBER.sapbydesign.com) to its exception list or must we add some sort of IP address? I would appreciate any helpful advice.
