Hi friends,

How to Install SAP XI and SAP R/3 on Laptop...

I installed SAP XI on Windows XP .Its working .

Then I installed VMware .Then using VMware installed Windows XP then installed SAP XI .Its working .But how to link or how to make communication between SAP R/3 which is installed in Windows XP and SAP XI which is installed on Windows XP using VM Ware .

Its not related to establishing connection like importing IDOC.

Its abt how to use the IP address of SAP R/3 in SAP XI ,which is installed using VMWARE.

I hope you understood my question...

    Hi,

You can connect the two server instances using VMWare's networking options. Depending on which version of vmware you have and your setup, I guess you have multiple options, but bridged networking seems to be the better solution (could be wrong on this).

More info can be found here: http://www.vmware.com/support/ws3/doc/network_ws.html

Have a read through this and decide. If yours is a newer version, the options are probably similar anyway.

    Cheers

    Manish
