Change Flat File name in InfoPackage

Hi Expert:

I need to upload flat file from file server, but the file name should be changed according to the fiscal year period.

For example:

In 2005.001, I need to upload to upload from dirctory prefix_2005_001_dynamic char.

In 2005.002. I need to upload to upload from dirctory prefix_2005_002_dynamic char.

try fm SUBST_GET_FILE_LIST

DIRNAME is the 'directory name' column in AL11, e.g
servername\..\... (or D:\..)

check also fm F4_DXFILENAME

Yes, we can use routine to change the name.

But how can i get the list of file in the directory of application server?

Hi,

in NW2004 there is the possibility of creating a routine that creates the names of the files that will be uploaded into BW. Goto infopackage, select tab external data and click the button Create Routine.

Here you can create the external name as you like.
