MRP Run MD01

Hello Experts,

There are 8 storage location in Plant 0001. Storage location REJ1, Storage location REW1, Storage location SCR1. under plant 0001. Now client wants restrict from MRP Run these 3 storage location and system should not consider the stock availability at these 3 storage location while generating MRP out put.

Please suggest me.

In configuration setting and in following path you have option to exclude the storage location from the MRP for the plant. See in below path,

SPRO > Production > Material requirements planning > Planning > Define storage location MRP per plant.

In this set option 1 for storage locations which you want to exclude in MRP for the plant.

I had already tried this one. There are above 100 raw material these three storage location. If in case i assigned in MMSC in MRP - 1 then in future how can change it. This solution not accepting plant 0001 Users.

Please suggest me any other options.

Hello

Please observe that the value in MMSC is only a default vale for the creation of new materials. For materials already created, you should maintain this value directly in the material master tab MRP4.

In addition, this solution does not work in S/4 HANA and you should use MRP areas in S/4 to map this scenario.

What is the reason that MMSC was whitelisted in HANA via note 2518816? Is it only for the bin field purpose?

Could you please try with the below option

T code : MMSC
Maintain the Indication for MRP : 1 : Storage location stock excluded from MRP ( Please take a look of the attached screen shot)

The purpose of moving the Stocks, to these 3 Storage locations( REJ1, REW1,SCR1) is not to consider the Stock available at these Storage Locations.

In future, you mean, you want to use the Stock (or) Consider the Stocks (or) part of the stocks from these storage locations, then you can move the required quantity of stock, through Stock Transfer, from these restricted Storage locations, to the other normally used Storage Location : Ex : XXXX, which will automatically consider this stock , during the MRP Run( from the Storage location ( XXXX)

I didn't tested this scenario, but, I hope this will works fine, for your business case

Can i try MRP Area for these three storage location excluding from MRP Run.

In MMSC giving material one by one. Is there any alternate solution mass change for 100 materail at time.

Yes, Storage Location MRP Area Type : 2, will also serve the purpose
