Hi mangalraj,
Can you please mail me the change management configuration doc. My mail id: naganuriskumar@gmail.com
Hi gide ,
Engineering Change Management is a central logistics function that can be used to change various aspects of production basic data (for example, BOMs, task lists, materials, and documents ) with history (with date effectivity) or depending on specific conditions (with parameter effectivity).
A change with history has the following distinctive characteristics:
It takes effect under precisely defined conditions (precise date or specific effectivity parameter value).
The changed object is saved twice: in its state before and after the changes.
A change master record or ECR/ECO controls and documents the changes
Following are the some commonly used T-codes
CC01
Create change number
CC02
Change change number
CC03
Display change number
In the config of Material master , BOM, Master Recipe, Routing & other master date we config that whether changes can be done with history or w/o history, the change number to be enterred mandatory or not.
There are other config also apart from the one that I have mentioned.
Please let me know if you have any further query regarding this.......
Please reward points if helpful........
Thanks
Kaushik

Hi,
The Engineering Change Management process uses Engineering Change Masters (ECM) in SAP to provide history for BOMs, Rate Routings, & Reference Rate Routings. This procedure defines how to:
Create and change Engineering Change Masters.
Utilize Alternative Dates to establish different effectivity dates for the same change to different BOMs, Rate Routings and Reference rate Routings.
nactivate Engineering Change Numbers (ECN).
