I would like to create Material Master using IDoc:
1) Basic Type MATMAS05
2) Message Type MATMAS
3) Process Code MATM
I encountered 2 problems:
1) Since the Number Range of the Material Type that I input is internal assign, I have not input the Material Number in the IDoc. However, I got an error message when posting the IDoc: "No material number transferred" (M3752)
2) I would like to use Message Type CLFMAS to create the Classification Data for Material. How can I link the 2 IDoc (MATMAS and CLFMAS) together when processing the 2 IDoc ?

Hi,
first check with ur functional persin that is it an internal assignment or external assignment.
search with the message number that u r getting and where used list of it will help you tp locate where exactly this problem is occuring.

I have checked the number range. It is internal assignment. Is it possible to create Material with internal number assignment using IDoc ?
However, I don't know how to locate the error. Would you mind giving me more hints?
Thanks,
Sonrisa

Yes its possible to create the idoc.
Can you please reprocess the failed idoc and see.
If you have a message number see the where used list of it.It will help you to locate it.

Hi Sonrisa,
I have the same problem as you (1): I want to use LSMW to upload Material Master records with the MATMAS IDOC. The material type also uses an internal assignment for codification. Same error message: No material number transferred" (M3752).
Did you fix the problem since then?
Thanks for you help
