Hi,
I have this requirement where i need to send some informational mail / message to the agent. The problem is, I have to use this in one stream of the fork and if i put this as a dialog task with DISPLAY method, the user needs to execute(dbl click) this witem in order to close the Fork(2 out of 2). But, he doesn't need to act upon this as this is just an informational message. If I use the SendMail step, then this is not a workitem and so will end up in Documents Folder of SAP Inbox and will not be picked up by the Extended Notifications , for delivery to the user's Outlook.
Can anybody have any idea how to handle this issue. Please respond immediately.
THanks in advance,
venu
The issue is not very clear..
If its extra information just put it in the send email step and send it...
and in the send email step use the option email address and put the address there
and its should be fine.
And how your fork works is how u really want it to work.. u can make it 1 of 2.

Abhshek,
Thanks your immediate reply. But, I want the fork to be 2 out of 2 and as i mentioned, i could use the send mail step and e-mail, but the user wants it to be in the SAP inbox too...except that he doesn't want to execute the DISPLAY method and complete the witem for the fork to close.
Please let me know how to achieve this.
Thanks,
venu

hai
try this,
design the wf with a new fork of 1 out of 2 .in that call the display method in one branch and leave other one empty. in this way the wf will complete when work item is in outbox. wf wont wait here for the completion.

Rose,
sorry for late reply. Actually, i tried this. But, for some wierd reason, the wflow was always coming thru the "Undefined task" where I left one branch of the fork(1 out of 2) empty and so had the previous issue.
Anyway, I decided to educate the user to execute the witem(dblclikcing and viewing the document) and he is convinced right now. Thanks
Abhishek,
Thanks for your help.
