create scenario in Integration Directory eroor:java.lang.NullPointerExcept

Dear all,

I have create all thing under software component SAP BW 7: message interfarence and import object rfc, also create integration senario.

now while i am going to create scenario from Integration Directory > select internal communication and enter create getting error:

java.lang.NullPointerException

Internal problem occurred (INTERNAL_PROBLEM)

i have transferd Integaration scenario from IR and than try to do same, got same error,

whats the initial steps for importing Integration Repository design in to Integration Directory?

hi

This is the problem with your j2ee engine if you have post installation steps with u once go through steps for configuring j2ee engine and then restart your j2ee server then it will work

we have gone through post implemantaion steps from nwa with j2ee_admin login, there is 26 step for that and we got 1 step error only.

shold i run again and try to fix that one error too and than restart.

Hi,

If it is newly installed then you can face such problems if you have not imported XI BASIS Component.

You can do so by :

Importing the XI Content for Software Component Version SAP Basis

1. Copy XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_00_00.tpz (latest file ask your BASIS Consultant) from <installation DVD>/XI_CONTENT to

directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/

2. On your SAP XI host, call transaction SXMB_IFR.

3. Choose Repository (Design).

4. Choose &#8594; Tools &#8594; Import Development Objects

2. Choose the file /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import

XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_00_00.tpz

5. Import the file.

Actually that file which u have given that was not available on dvd, but it downloaded.

One more question, i have completed all the steps of that link upto 4.5 > 11,

but when i activate my messge interfarence from senario tab list or change object tab list, <b>it is showing error that :

Check Result for Object Communication Channel(GeneratedReceiverChannel_XI ) Enter a value for Service Number</b>

address type: URL Adress

target host: my bi server aibid

Service Number: ?????????

Path: /sap/xi/engine?type=entry

What is the Service NO.

In directory goto Tools then select transfer Intergation Scenario . from this you get popup box then select the intgeration scenario you have created in respoitory

I have imported my Integration senario of IR in ID but i am getting error of that Java when i am going to do the step no 3 0f 4.5, and how to get 4 th step.

Hi Dushyant,

Actually it should work...

try first this one

In ID -->First import the Integration Scenario by clicking tolls -->Transfer IS from IR

Then

Click Create Object in ID then you will get the scrren 3 0f 4.5 as per the link...

Then click create ---> and enter the service name (if does not exist it is automatically created)

Then select remaining as required...

Or else...

follow this...

Just Double click the Configuration Scenario under Configuration Objects and Proceed ( No need of Configuration Wizard required) and select your Integration scenario created in IR...

and rest you can create all the remaining steps under the Scenario that you created by following the smae steps...

can u close your directory and open again check whether Xi server is up or not.once u open again try to create it .

as per document for which i have sent link there is no any step for creation of party and service type and all..

so thats why when i try to follow the step form first configration senario to all manually without configration wizard as specified in link i am getting error in reciver determination step that no party and servic exit. i have select my configration senario in above step as mention in left pannel.

Can u tell me is the XI/PI system newly installed???

If it is newly installed you need to undergo certain pre configuration.. Let me know if it is newly installed or not?

Mostly, you get such error when you have newly installed.
