Additive Cost on Cost Collector

Former Member

Hi everyone,

I am trying to include additive costs in the preliminary cost estimates on a cost collector but with no luck.

I completed the following steps:

1. Modified the costing variants and valuation variants for the standard cost estimate and the repetitive mfg cost estimate to include additive cost (OKKN).

2. Created the additive cost estimate (CK74N) to add cost to the highest level material.

3. Created the standard cost estimate for the highest level material that included the additive cost (CK11N).

4. Marked and released the standard cost estimate (CK24).

5. Created the preliminary cost estimate for the cost collector (MF30) but it does not include the additive cost. There are no error messages and the cost estimate has a status of “costed without errors.”

I checked that the cost element is defined for the cost component structure used by both costing variants. I also checked the SAP support portal to see if there is any mention that cost collectors cannot have additive cost. None were found.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Michael

Hi,

Check the following:

- The Costing variant & the Costing version yiu are using in CK74N & CK24N should be same.

- The validity dates of the Additive cost estimate should be within the validity dates used in CK24N.i.e the additive costs should be valid for the dates you are trying to mark & release costs.

Assign points if useful.

Hi Rajaram,

Thanks for your quick response.

I checked the costing variant and costing version for CK74N and CK24 and they are the same. I also checked the validity dates as well and they are the same.

You may want to run the t-code OPL1 to check the costing variant for the product cost collector and its corresponding plant specific valuation variant.

Hi,

Transaction OPL1 took me to the simultaneous cost costing variant and valuation variant which do not have settings to include additive cost.

Dear customer,

Having a similar past request in which customer are given this

comments:

Additive Costs are a Standard Cost Estimate functionality. Therefore

it is not possible to calculated them in the preliminary cost estimate

of a production order or product cost collector. You can see there is no valuation possibility on those costing variants.

Additive Costs can be used in the calculation of plan costs in the

following scenarios:

o cost for materials where a routing or BOM is still missing or

incomplete

o tests for a change of routing or similar.

At the 'real' production these costs should be already specified

and somehow integrated in the automatic costing. Thus the addition

of 'additive costs' is not standardized at this point.

Alternatively you could use the user exit 'EXIT_SAPLKASC_001' for your

purposes. You could use the exit to add overheads per quantity.

This user exit allows you to transfer values or quantities for a

calculation base to the overhead calculation. Please see note nr.

116808 for more information.

Hope this information helps.

HI

Additive cost is to add costs manually to the standard cost estimate. costs which cannot be calculated by the system. following examples are the additive costs

1. freight.

2. stock transport expenses.

3. insurance expenses.

T code : ck74n
