Hello,
I like to configure a consumer and producer portal landscape with two NW 7.0 (SPS10) portals. For configuration the scenario "Remote Role Assignment" I used the steps in sap.help.com (Workflow: Remote Role Assignment). But it does not work like expected:
What have I done:
- The configured user repository of both portals are on different ABAP stacks but the used user IDs are same
- No proxy settings because not neccessary
- Set up trust only using consumer certificate imported to producer (full trust was optional)
- Didn't used a password for registration (registration w/o password)
- Didn't changed the caching configuration (use default)
- Edited the consumer profile settings
- Hope to set the user permissions to local portal role correctly? (producer)
- Added the content producer
- Checked the alias
- Tested the connection
- Register the consumer (and checked it on producer)
Now I have the problem that I cannot continue because it is not possible to assign administrator permissions to producer objects. I'm not able to see any objects of producer in consumer.
The subfolder of producer under Netweaver Content Producer is empty. Also I can't see any roles of producer in the identity management of consumer.
I'm not sure if I made mistake setting up the permissions to the remote role. I used the user ID Tom which exists on both portals and he has super_admin rights. On producer I gave this user ID the permission role assigner enabled to a test-role. I expected the test-role will be selectable/viewable on consumer as remote role after this but this is not the case.
Does anyone know what I can check next to resolve the problem?
Thank you for every hint.
Regards
Alex
