Hello
I'm using the CPM - cockpit design transaction , UMC_CPM_MEAS, to configure a cockpit frame with a TACHOMETER graph. When I use just one data series and compare current period vs previous period for example, I get a correct graph presentation with the two pointers, but, when I use two data series in order to compare them (for example real vs plan) I'm not able to fill the second pointer measure in the graphic design window and obviously the graph shows just one pointer.
Please, help me in customizing the graph correctly.
Thanks in advance
Hello Luis,
you should do following in MC frame customizing:
1. assign two key figures in Data source, Measures step (of course, both have to be from the same query)
2. fill data selection for both the keyfigures in step Selection Criteria
3. assign Key figure 1 to First pointer and Key figure 2 to Second pointer in step Graphic design
4. if you go to step Data preview, you should see both pointers there (of course, only in case that there is enough data on BW side)
Best regards,
Ludek

Hi Ludek,
That is exactly what I was doing, but, the problem is that I can't assign a keyfigure to the sencond pointer in the Graphic Design step. Although, in Graphic Assigment tab I fill information for the second pointer, it is lost and never remains in the definition and of course it doesn't appears at graphic presentation.
As Kai suggest, there is a way to set Use Categories and Data Index, but, where can I do that?, following the step by step procedure to configure the cockpit frame, there is no a step to set up those properties.
Thank you
Hi Fernando,
changing the charts properties is possible as soon as you see the chart designer
As I'm not an SEM expert I can only guess that step 3 in Ludeks description displays the chart. And as soon as you are in change mode the chart designer is displayed with its list of chart elements and a list of properties. In the list of elements click on Speedometer and its properties are displayed below.

Hi,
have a look at the Speedometers properties Use Categories and Data Index!
Enabling Use Categories means that all values of one data series are displayed. With the property Data Index you define which data series is used.
Disabling the Use Categories means to display the n-th value of each series (with n defined in Data Index).
