HI All

We have Rest to PRoxy synchronous scenario wherein we need to send an image (jpg) to PO 7.5 and then teh same is uploaded in ECC system.

The current flow is already running in PI7.31 with advantco rest adapter wherein i dont see any such settings in channel-sender REST /PRoxy receiver.

Can anynone suggest as to how can we handle this.

Thanks

PO 7.5 SP7 can handle REST adapter with attachments. I have not seen any use case in blogs. Please share the link if you find it.

Hi,

Don't you see option of "Send Attachment "in sender rest adapter ? i just saw the Advantaco user guide and see the option is there to enable attachment.

If you don't find any such i would suggest you to contact Advantaco support team or contact Former Member.

Manoj

I really doubt if SAP Rest adapter is capable is of handling Attachment as i have really not read such functionality anywhere, so my suggestion stick to Advantaco just go through the User guide ..here is the snapshot of user guide version:1.0.19

or else you may even contact Advantco support they are very quick responsive.

Hi Thanks for the reply

And sad that we dont have any such provision in adapter.

I also tried using swap bean in sender REST adapter but seems encoding issue comes before swap can get executed and gets the error in sender channel.

After reading through blogs and threads i see the below option,

1.Adding the custom module to read the image (jpg) from request jason

2.Using java map convert the above and pass it to soapXI (proxy) channel as an attachment.

Thanks

The problem is not your reciever proxy channel it bypasses the attachment so no issues . The problem is with your REST sender channel and i am not sure if nay custom module can handle this as modules are executed after adapter parameters . So my suggestion check with advantaco once they have it in guide i believe you are using old version of advantaco rest adapter . if not then ask your third party to send the attachment on base64 format in one of the field and the later you can decode and add it as proxy attachment.

As manoj suggested, you can pass the attachment in fields and let PO/ECC proxy to read teh attachment. That is the possible solution with SAP REST adapter.

Attachments part is on road map.Better check with SAP that when it will be available for use.

Thanks Mokkarala..SAP also suggested to go SP7 and we are currenly on SP6..

We have UAT planned next week and we need to upgrade system from PO7.5 SP6 to SP7, is there any impact of jumping 1level up with SP?
