Upgrade EP 6.0 to EP 7.0

Hello SAP,

I´m using the guide:

SAP NetWeaver 2004s

Java

Support Release 2

I´m trying to upgrade EP 6.0 to EP 7.0.

I have a problem when a try to start the upgrade procedure

I run the file PREPARE.BAT on /JUP

the .BAT creates the filesystem: /usr/sap/jupgrade

and doesn´t create the exe for Upgrade.

The SDT GUI http://hostname:6239 doesn´t not work to

My system is:

EP 6.0 on Windows 2003 (32bits) and MSql Server 2000

Hi Luis,

I had the same issue. Firstly clear all the contents inside the JUpgrade folder that you created. Then open the CD 51032261_1 NW 2004s SR2 Java Upgrade for all OS outside of the JUpgrade folder and run jprepare.bat and prepare.bat. If this opens a command line with the path to the folder where you ran prepare.bat from run jprepare.bat from the command line.

Now check if the exe folder is present in the Jupgrade folder.

If it has been created then copy the 51032261_1 NW 2004s SR2 Java Upgrade folder into the exe directory and run prepare again from here from the root directory of the folder - not from within the JUP folder. This should uncar the files and allow you to run SDT Gui.

Hi Luis,

According to the guide you should create the upgrade directory yourself first and ensure it is empty. There is a prepare.bat file at the root of the file NW 2004s SR2 Java Upgrade for all OS - run prepare.bat and jprepare.bat from here and it should create the exe folder - then move the OS independent file into the exe folder and run prepare.

error with prepare.bat

When I go to the script in the line 44

it says that check the kernel disp+work.exe

but a only have JAVA STACK

I try to run in the directory /JUP/ on the UPGRADE MASTER DVD, and PREPARE.BAT create the directory /usr/sap/jupgrade/exe, but doesn´t create the .exe files for start the upgrade
