How to maintain diffrent prices for same material (assume that the price of the the material is varing frequently that to with high margin) .
Vel,
You need to creation valuation types. Then with this you could maintain different prices for each of the valuation type. The valuation types are linked to the valuation category.
Please refer SAP help notes for further info.

Hi Ram,
Thaks for your immediate reply.Using Valaution Category and type(split valaution) we can maintain max three values .But my req is need to maintain more than 3 values. Is it possible??
For ex,
3 Jul Purchasing 20 Pc with 20 INR
5 Jul Purchasing 10 Pc with 10 InR
7 jul Purchasing 20 pc with 2 Inr .... like that price is changing freq. But i dont want to use MAP .Whatever price i purchased will be used for cost calculation.Any suggestion??
Solved with Valuation category

Vel,
First of all it is possible to maintain any number of Valuation types. It is not limited to 3.
Please note that as far as the books are concerned you would get the stock value based on the value when GR was done.
From std costimate point of view the MAV at the header level (not val type level) is taken. So if at all you want a new costing you need to change the value at header level using MR21 - which changes the MAV at header level.
Hope this makes some sense.

Ram
