ST03N reports to E-Mail

Hi,

Before we upgrade from SAP R3 4.6B to ERP2005 (NW2004s) we used the report RSSTAT10.

That report could we e-mail to users who was interested of the info.

But in ERP2005 (NW2004s) the report RSSTAT10 is no longer available.

The info is in ST03N, how could I create reports( including the info RSSTAT10 gave me) and then E-mail them??

Regards

Magnus

Hi Magnus,

with release NW2004s, workload statistics are available in BI with richer functionality.

Documentation: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/45/81dec1abc16c4ee10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm

Note: 807072.

Another option is to create some small report by yourself: You could use the function modules SWNC_GET_DIRECTORY_FRAME and SWNC_GET_AGGREGATES_FRAME (function group SCSM_NW_WORKLOAD) to read statistics from ST03N's database.

There is also a blog how to read statistics from ST03N: <a href="/people/andreas.vogel/blog/2007/03/16/how-to-read-st03n-datasets-from-db">How to read ST03 datasets from DB</a> and an illustrating <a href="http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=16781">code snippet.</a>

Hi,

Blogs seem to be down currently. Please try again in some time. I don't have the content of the blog available either right now.

Best regards, Frank

Hi,

I have set up these reports, links, etc according to the SAP help. The seems to be no information on how to use the data once it is set up or how to modify it to your needs.

Is there further documentation apart from the technical information on how to transfer the data to BI? If reporting is easy (drag and drop) I would like to make use of it.

Thanks,

Judy.

Hi,

sorry for the late reply, had a few days off...

This documentation is a little more verbose: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/43/d83a8488ef05f6e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm

There are already BI queries for statistical data being shipped.

Hope this helps,

Frank

Hi Magnus,

the data from ST03 is available now in SAP BI for reporting. Follow this link to find the related documentation: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/45/81dec1abc16c4ee10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm">CCMSBISETUP</a> on help.sap.com

Hi,

What I want is a report like RSSTAT10 running once a week.

Can I use : How to read ST03 datasets from DB to create something like RSSTAT10??

Hi Magnus,

definitely yes. RSSTAT10 did the same, reading datasets from the DB and presenting them to the user.

Still I would recommend to use SAP BI to perform this task. Reporting is very flexible (and easy to create, drag & drop) and mailing the result is a standard feature.
