Define substitute

Hi,

How can I define a substitute for approver in R/3?

Not in ESS - the appreovers themselves do that.

The table hrus_d2 has no maitainance-view.....

go to business workplace (sbwp) settings>workflow settings--> maintain substitution.

creat an substitution here.

u had to adopt this substitution in the substituted user.

Hi Kjersti,

In R/3 it is the same as in ESS, the user has to do it himself. In the SAP inbox go to Settings -> Workflow settings to maintain the substitutes.

As far as I know there is no standard option to maintain a substitute for another user. You would have to build a maintenance program.

You can try using FM rh_update_subst_list_server for this.

Hi,

You can use various available WAPI's to maintain substitute for other users.

<b>SAP_WAPI_SUBSTITUTE_MAINTAIN </b>- would serve the purpose.

For other WAPIs available for substitution search for SAPWAPISUB* in SE37.
