New to MDM

Hi,

I'm new to MDM and will be primarily utilising it for catalogues in SRM. I have a MDM course (MDM 5.5 SP03) manual but I was told that SRM-MDM may differ from this material?

I was wondering if someone could please tell me which Modules/Components I require for SRM-MDM?

We currently have MDM 5.5 SP4 (5.5.33.13) loaded and I have the following Components on my desktop:

MDM Console

MDM Import Manager

MDM Data Manager

Are there any other components which I require i.e. SRM-MDM Search User Interface?

there is two type of installation server side and client side

Server Side

MDM Server

MDM Import Server

MDM Syndication Server

<b>Client Side (GUI Componant)</b>

MDM Data Manager

MDM Console

MDM Syndicator Manager

MDM Import Manager

Also you have to install data base oracle or SQL Data Dase Server in Where you install MDM Server,Syndicator Server, MDM Import Server

To correct jignesh, MDM Syndication Server and MDM Syndication Manager are not part of the SRM-MDM Catalog.

Hi

You can start working with the 3 components that you have installed, and use the standard SRM-MDM Catalog. For the user interface please check the following interesting doument :

Thanks for the document but I'm not quite sure what you mean by using the "Standard SRM-MDM Catalog"? Do you mean the SRM-MDM Component? And how do I install this component?

Hi Shayne,

You can download all the components including the Repository (Catalog) from the market place. Download the latest patch level = 4.

You need a database (SQL Server or other..) before you start installing the components.

Check the MDM installation guide.
