plant does not eixts

Hi,

While taking MPS run MD42, I am getting error as "plant does not eixts".

I have copied new plant from existing plant.

I have checked almost all customization for it.

Planning file entries exists for the material.MRP area is active.

MRP type is M2, Planning Strategy 63.

Material is also copied from old plant, which is working ok in old plant.

What should be the cause for error?

Hi,

In tcode OPPQ enter the reference plant for accessing the central master data tables ex enter 1000 and try.

I tried to do the same by maintaining source list for the materail with production plant as a vendor and selecting "Record relevant to MRP"(this setting is working fine with other plants in production system also)

If I put plant in spetial procurement(40)tab OPPQ, MRP run gives proper results but if I remove the plant and tries by maintaing source list, I gets same error message no 61 601.

MRP is active for all plants and for material with inhouse production(E)MRP/MPS run is OK.

Please suggest.

Hi Suresh,

This is very strange error, please check whether the plant exisst in the table T001W with proper factory calendar and the calendar should be valid.

I think you have approach to SAP or take ABAP help to trace this error.

Sorry for late response.

You have tapped at right point.

I checked table T001W, different factory calendars were assigned to planning and production plants.

Issue is resolved now.

Dear Suresh,

First thing is that you wont copy material from one plant to another plant. You would extend the material to new plant.

Did you check the respective views while extending the problem. This could be well be the problem.

R u using any special procurement type in the MRP View of material master.

Yes, procurement type F with special procurement 40. I have maintained planning plant and material which are exist in other plant.

Activate the MRP for both planning plant and other plant in transaction OMDU.

Please let us know the error message number and class if error comes again.
