BEx Broadcaster: Publish to My Portfolio ONLY

Hi,

We have a requirement where we need to use the BEx Broadcaster to be

able to publish to My Portfolio (Personal Portfolio) in the Portal

using the broadcaster.

Our problem is that with the broadcaster there are also other options

available for where and how to publish queries.

How can we limit the BEx broadcaster to ONLY publish to My Portfolio (thus excluding any other choice in the Broadcaster).

We are on BI 7.0 SP12.

You can do this using security on the EP side, set the security for all the folders except my portfolio on the EP side.

I'm assuming you are using BI7.0...

I have not found a "proper" solution for this yet, and thus; not implemented anything.

I think a possible workaround might be to change the Web Item class that is used for the Bex Broadcaster. You will see the name of the class if you open the web template used for the Broadcaster (it's a 3.x template, so open it with the 3.5 WAD). Check out the class in SE80 and you might figure it out.
