If i have listed product X for customer ABC and I have not excluded DEF for prouct X and at the same way not listed for X? Can DEF purchase product X?Listing and exclusion.......pls reply........
Material Listing: The material that this customer is allowed to buy (Out of list of 10 the customer might only be listed for 6, so the customer can only buy out of this 6 and not from all 10).
Material Exclusion: The material that this customer is not allowed to buy.
ABC - Is allowed to buy product X.
DEF - Is allowed to buy product X (Since he is not listed or excluded, DEF can always buy product X without restrictions).
Hope I was able to answer your query.

hi,
Product X is listed for customer ABC
Product X is not excluded/listed for customer DEF
since the material is not listed or excluded for the customer DEF he can buy this product . provided the material is defined in the same sales area as that of the customer DEF
Pls reward points if the answer is helpful

hi,
you listing X for ABC - means he can buy only product X
and you not excluded or listed for customer DEF then he can very well purchase X.
This you can also do it my condition technique.
Thanks

Hi Suhas,
Go to SPRO -> Sales & Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Listing / Exclusion
1) Create condition table with fields from the catalog.
2) Maintain the access sequence
3) Create a condition type and assign the access sequence
4) Assign the condition type to the procedure
5) Assign the procedure to the sales document
Maintain condition records for condition types in VB01

Hi venkat,
Listing - list of part nos the customer buys.He will buy only the part nos that are maintained in the list.
Eg: Customer X his list of products contains Material no 10,20,30.You can either register a sales order for 10/20/30.You cannot register the order for the material number that is not maintained in the list.
Exclusion - It is opposite to listing.U can never order for a material that is in the exclusion list.
It works on a condition technique.U can maintain the record in T.Code : VB01.

No. as the previous post said, if you maintained the listing for customer Y and the listing does not include Mat 10, he can not by Mat 10. He can ONLY buy the materials on the list.
Practically, if you have maintained a listing for a customer or a customer hierarchy, they can only buy materials listed. Only when you want to exclude certain materials in the listing such as the ones rejected by customers before, can you activate this requirement or maintain an exclusion list, or delete them from the listing within a validity.
Simply put, a customer can only buy material on the listing.
