can you let me know what are encryption adapters and how they work
Hi Akash,
In my view encryption functionality of adapters are used in case of B2B scenario where data needs to be transfered from one conpany's boundry to another. Here organizations looks for security of data and in that case encrypted features of adapters can be used:

We dont have any encryption adapters in XI. But you can develop an adapter like PGP and then install it in xi. Then you can use it as a standard adapter which will do the encryption and decryption.

In addition to what satish said, most of the bank related customers wants to send their data throught SFTP. But SAP XI can't support SFTP. But I heard that we can write Scripts from which we can push the data from SFTP to our file system and XI can start process. So this is one way of making data secure.
Just for an example.
