CCMS cancelled job monitoring

Hi all,

I've configured in RZ20 CCMS to auto react upon a background job failure and send emails through an auto-reaction method (usign FM SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT).

It all works fine. At each failed job I get an email.

What I would like to do though, is to restrict that to a few jobs that I consider critical.

How could I change the CCMS configuration so the alert is raised only for those jobs?

Hi Leonardo,

Currently the same configuration required me to place to alert concern people with email notification. It would be great , if you help the detailed configuration on the same.

I have an approach to write new small report prog and send mail notification.but this configuration helps to avoid coding part.

Hi Partha,

Sorry but it has been a long while(almost 6 yrs) and I don't remember how we set it up.

I remember however that we had also created for another customer (on lower release) a simple report that checks on the job table for failed jobs within a time frame. Then the job was schedule to run periodically.

CCMS is a much better approach, but you'd need to look for standard documentation about it.

You should find a lot of references here at SCN.

Hello All

What are the steps to set a ccms alert for failed jobs? Also is it possible to set ccms to warn us of long running jobs. I would like to set the sysem so that we get a email notification on any failed jobs or long running jobs.

I appreciate any input or leads.

Hi Thanu,

I faced the same issue and came across your thread...so thought of replying...eventhough it might be too late now...

For getting alerts for specific jobs, we need to enter the jobnames in table ALBTCMON.

Then in RZ20, we can see the alerts in the MTE SAP CCMS Monitor Templates--> Background Processing --> System Wide --> Background --> Background Job Monitoring...Here you will get list of all jobs entered in the above table...

The status MTE inside each job MTE, will provide the status...

The above steps need to be done besides the SCOT configuration, and the configuration of auto reaction method...

Hi,

for this you need to set this up in the tables which you do during the set up of the ccms config once you update them in the table it will reflect in RZ20 then you can enable them ....
