Hi Gurus,
Can we change the description of 0calmonth text table, i know there is no such text table. there should be some place where SAP maintains the data for 0calmonth.
Eg: say we have 012007 --Jan 2007, Can we change jan 2007 to say period 1.
so that in the BEx while restricting it should show up as Period 1 and not as Jan 2007.
There is no need to text variable.
Thanks in advance
Amit
Are you referring to text variable, where the period shows as text? If so, you can change the text variable to read only KEY instead of Name(text)

Month is different from period. Still I dont see how changing the text of the values of calmonth is gonna help you. Even though you do it, how would you automate the process of changing texts going forward.
Can we just change the short or long text of the object which is referecing to 0calmonth
You can change 0calmonth but not the referenced object
I'm not sure if changing calmonth will help, and moreover you need to pay attention that changing this IO may effect all other providers using the same. Anyway
CALMONTH - change - masterdat/texts tab - check texts - save and activate. maintain masterdata - select ur record - edit .. enter the text.
Amit,
I don't want you touch 0CALMONTH Text Tables or T009* tables. If you change test in any of the Tables, other application will get effected.
I want you to Create New IO for Calender Month. replace your 0CALMONTH with New one(Z*). Populate text for new IO in the Text table(manually create or programatically. you could see in IO--> Master Data Tab -->Text Table). Display your Query with Text.
or.
I guess, create a new fiscal year variant and Fiscal periods as well(12 periods, Put Text Jan 2007 as Period 1. replace your 0CALMONTH with 0FISCMONTH. In the UR, put constant value for Fiscal Year Variant(put newly created variant).
If you change Text table directly.. it will effect other Queries.

hi Amit,
the table is T00... something i think, have no access to system now,
but that's not good idea to change the description in that table,
will misleading all other reporting,
perhaps you can change with vba excel-macro, search forum for how to vba excel macro.
hope this helps.
