How can you define whether it is an INTERACTIVE or CLASSICAL report by looking at the output of a REPORT.

hi
we can find the report type just by clicking on some record.if it takes to
secondaray list then its interactive....
i dont think we can find it just by looking at the output...

Hi ...
To distinguish between classical report and interactive report, the user has to double click on the data thats seen in the output page.
if the screen navigates to a seconday list, then its interactive list.else its a classical report.
If u see an HOT-SPOT symbol while ur output page is open, then it must b an interactive report.
Also if any of the GUI status icons are active, like BACK,SAVE,CANCEL etc, then its interactive report.
Or user can also find the diff by seeing the code.
If "AT-USER command" event is called in the report, then its interactive report.
Hope this helps.
****Rerward points if helpful.

Hi,
Good one..
When u display the output...
Just look for any buttons in the application tool bar..
and if it exists then u can be sure it is interactive..
Interactive in the sense the user has to do something naa..
Even if u find a hotspot kind of thing on the report output, it can be interactive...

Simha.

hi,
in the o/p list generated by report just double click on it. if it navigates to any other screen which has some info then its ainteractive report. otherwise it is a classical report.
if helpful reward some points.
