Hi,
on a XI test system, I have created Integration Scenarios in Integration Repository. Afterwars these Scenarios have been imported to the Integration Directory. Here I used the Integration Scenario configuration wizard to assign Business Systems, Services and communication channels and to generate the routing objects.
When I now export a configuration scenario and import it on another XI system, all included objects are transportet. But when I open the configuration scenario after importing and start the configuration wizard tool again, all configured services, systems and channels seem to be lost.
Any hint how to avoid this?
Thanks in advance.
Christoph
Hi,

why do you start the wizard on test system ?
you only use it on DEV and on next system you only need to fill communication channels

Hi,
thanks for the answer.
I have just 2 XI systems: test and productive.
After importing on the productive system, the configuration wizard does not contain anything. So did I get you right: That is how it is meant to be?
What exaclry do you mean with "fill communication channels"?
Well, I don't need the wizard on productive system, but my customers in wondering why the wizard does not contain anything after importing
Thanks,
Chris
Hi,

why your customers wonder ? do they know XI ???
on PRD you just need to fill empty communication channels
after import from dev/test that's all

Hey
we dont need to change all the details in QA or PRD,as Michal pointed out,you just need to do the configurations in communications channel,for e.g you need to give Directory/file name (in case of File adapter),URL(in case of HTTP),user id/pwd(in case ur using FTP).
just open the communication channel in your production system,and make the necessary changes in CC and then test your scenarios.
by the way,did you use FMS or CMS to transport your objects?
thanx

Hi,
@Michal
The don't know XI much yet On the other side, I have just recently started working with XI in detail, and it's my first project where integration scenarios are used
@Ahmad
At the moment, we / they are simply using export / import via filesystem as "transport system".
I understand that it should not be necessary to use the configuration wizard on prod. XI again in order to generate routing objects. Nevertheless, the customer is wondering why the settings, which were done in the configuration wizard on the test XI system BEFORE the transport, are lost after transport to the prod. XI system. So the answer would be: They are lost as they are not needed on prod. XI, right?
So if I got it right: it's not a bug, it's a feature, isn't it? That would be what I thought initially. I just wanted to make sure that the experts verify this
Thanks a lot again!

Hey
its a feature of XI not a bug:)
see suppose ur doing a File to File scenario,then in Dev and QA, we will be dealing with some dummy directories/folder which have bene created just for Dev or testing purposes,but when we go in Prd,we dont want any junk from Dev or QA to stay in that folder,so we create a new Dir/folder and start off afresh,similarly it holds for other adapters too.
we dont want anything of Dev or QA to affect Prd and that why we try to give names of new folder etc
thanx
