BEx 7.0 Support with Office 2007

Hi All

Currently we are using BEx 7.0 with SAPGUI 640 (We are implementing BI 7.0.) on Office 2003 but would like to know the below as our company is going to rollout Office 2007

1. Is Bex 7.0 with SAPGUI 640 supported on Office 2007 ?

2. Is BEx 7.0 with SAPGUI 7.10 supported on office 2007 ?

I have gone through one SAP note which says that SAPGUI 7.10 is not supported with Excel 2007 but i am not finding any note which explain BEx 7.0 (with SAPGUI 640) support on Excel 2007

Please help me if anyone from you have experience on this

Thanks in Advance

Thanks with regards

    Hi,

according note 1013201 Office 2007 will be supported from mid of 2007.

Latest announcement from SAP, Vista/Office 2007 is supported as of Stack-12 but only with SAPGui 7.10 patch-1.

However, it does not support new OfficeXML document format. So you need to activate option in Excel to save file as downward compatible format.

OfficeXML support is only planned from stack-14 (will be reased only later in the year)

Also note that Office 2007 with BI addon 7.0 wil not be supported with SAPGui 6.40.

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers !!

    Satya.

PS: Pls reward points for helpful answer ...Thx.,
