CR XI R2 vs Oracle 12c

Hi All,

I'm testing Crystal Reports XI R2 with Oracle 12c client. There is an issue with DB connection and what I found interesting is that there is uknown for me driver used crdb_jdbc.dll.

<connection=Connection:<databaseType=JDBC (JNDI)><serverName=jdbc:oracle:oci:@CRYSTALPRINTBOTPRD><state=closed><databaseDriverName=crdb_jdbc.dll>>;<property=database>;<value=s()>;>

In CRConfig I have specified ojdbc7.jar in classpath. Can someone please explain where this drivers comes from and why does it not work with Oracle 12c?

Thanks

    I didn't choose that driver. I do not know where it came from. I'm using jdbc connection with TNS on oracle client. Can you tell me how this driver was set up and if I can change it?

    Thanks

    • In main menu go to Database -> Set datasource

      In top pane you will see your connection -. click to highlight

      In Lower pane create a new connection using Oracle server with TNS credentials

      Click Update

      This will change report connection

    Why are you using crdb_jdbc.dll.

    Easier to use Oracle Server connection which requires a TNS listener or use OLE DB.
