Translated OTR text is not displayed in WD4A application

Hi all,

I have a strange problem with my WD4A application. We have developed it in English, created a new Z package for OTR text we are using in the application. Now I have translated the text into German.

When I open the view in SE80 with logon language German, then I see the translated text in German. But when I then open the application in IE with logon language German, I see still the Engish text.

Any ideas?

Best regards, Matthias

Hi Matthias,

This is because the OTR is reading the content from the buffer. Please reset the buffer and you will be able to see the uodated text in the browser also.

Just execute the transaction "/$OTR" to reset the buffer. You will get a confirmation of the same as a status message.

Hope this solves your issue.

Ram

Hello Matthias,

I tried to reproduce your error by using an already translated text from the package SOTR_VOCABULARY_BASIC.

text: $OTR:SOTR_VOCABULARY_BASIC/REFRESH

when i login in german i see it in german in se80, when logged in english i see it in english.

even when i execute the application, changing the language changes the text displayed automatically.

Are you sure the text is translated correctly?

Regards,

Shweta
