hi can someone suggest me a compatible JDK version which can be used for PI 7.0 irrespective of the SP Level. also provide me a link where i can download it directly.

1.4.x is generally used and is fully supported. Have a look here

Do not use version 1.5

Hi Balakrishnan,

JAVA WebStart 1.4.2.8 or 1.4.2.9 is the best supported with XI/PI and work efficiently. If you face any problem then you can do the troubleshooting by seeing this blog:

Use J2Sdk 1.4.2 and any version of it.

There are some known issues with j2sdk 1.5 and so use 1.4.2

hi bhavesh currently we are using 1.6.0_01 and we are facing some problems like some icons are disabled in the message mapping (especially the map identical field icon). so how do i downgrage this version to 1.4.2.

Uninstall 1.6 and install 1.4!

hi do we need to uninstall through the Add/Remove programs or do we need to use any xi tool.

You have to uninstall using Add/Remove programs. Once when you uninstalled then download from the net this version.

Did you use XI to install JWS? No right. You would need to use your OS to do this,.
